Strike a Pose

April 8th is the day of the birth of Buddha, so I think of an event, " KANBUTSU-E", in which people pour AMACHA on small Buddha statues in a temple, where it is held.

I went to the neighboring temple to pour AMACHA on small Buddha statues without understanding the meaning in spring in my childhood. Then, I was able to drink AMACHA which tasted good so I went there for AMACHA. I remember that. I went there several times in a day, so I was laughed "You come here again?!".

I, a grown-up man now, am not an earnest Buddhist but I like the way of thinking of the Buddhism, so many ZEN words have helped me when I was in trouble.

Buddha was born from left side then walked seven steps, pointed to the sky with the right hand and the ground with the left hand and said, "I am my own Lord throughout heaven and earth". Like this.

Um? My pose is a little different.

It seems to be an origin, that nine dragons appeared when Buddha was born and they brought rain of deliciousness to pour AMACHA on small Buddha statues at KANBUTSU-E.

The anecdotes are amazing anyway.
