I've been using bowls made out of olive tree wood, since a little while ago. A wooden bowl fits closely in my hand. It fits in the palm, so I love it. And the pattern of the olive tree is good beyond description.
I don't mean I have lost interest in pottery and it's important. Pottery is easy to break so I have to pay attention to use it kindly not to break it. So I have to grab it with both hands. I serve rice and a side dish many times in life and wash it when I finish eating. And I think it's good the hands are soft, because I touch it repeatedly.
